At the age
of 27, Chad Hymas’ life changed instantaneously when a freak accident left him a quadriplegic. Doctors said that he
would never walk and that without complete use of his arm, he would need an electric wheelchair. Wondering where all his dreams
went, Chad decided he had the power to control his own future. Since that fateful day, Chad has become President of his own
communications company. He is a wheelchair athlete, no longer in an electric wheelchair. He plays basketball, wheelchair rugby
and he races marathons. Chad set a new world record in 2003, racing a personal marathon of over 500 miles from Salt Lake City
to Las Vegas.
Since his accident, Chad has been recognized by the state of Utah as the Superior Civilian of
the Year. As a Certified Speaking Professional of the National Speakers Association,
Chad travels as many as 150,000 miles a year speaking to hundreds of professional and civic organizations such as Wells
Fargo, Blue Cross Blue Shield, AT&T, IHC, American Express, Prudential Life, Vast FX, Zion Securities and others. He
uses touching stories and humor to inspire audiences to achieve more than they thought possible.
Chad
was recently featured in The Wall Street Journal as one of the hottest of a new breed of motivational speakers. He keynoted
160 times in 2005 and is on his way to 190 in 2006, due to his business savvy, courageous personal story and ability to tailor
his message to a variety of audiences.
Chad is married and he and his wife are the proud parents of three children. They currently
reside in Rush Valley, Utah on a 200-acre wildlife preserve. Chad is also the author of the regionally best-selling
book Soaring to New Heights.

Who Needs Legs When You Have Wings
All of us at times feel paralyzed in
our lives. Whether physical, emotional, economic, spiritual or otherwise, paralysis makes us feel trapped, unable to believe
or create for ourselves a future. Chad illustrates through principles of accepting, adopting and acting on change, that we
can fly higher than we ever thought possible. Paralysis in all forms creates opportunity and allows us to find that hidden
inner strength to achieve the unachievable and live bigger dreams.
Fail Your Way to Success
With his inspirational and humorous approach, Chad touches the
audience by sharing the failures and successes he has experienced while attempting to relearn how to use his body. He teaches
listeners that regardless of our current circumstances, we have the power to change our own future. By accepting responsibility,
taking risks and being willing to fail, we can go through pain with the enthusiasm necessary to reach our ultimate goals.
