About Joan Pastor,
Ph.D.:
Joan Pastor, Ph.D.
has been a leading organizational development consultant, trainer and speaker for the last 25 years. Her pioneering research into emotional IQ and leadership as well as profiling for fraud has been applied in
countless industries, associations and government entities around the world.
For most of this time, Joan has facilitated groups to improve their leadership and communication skills, work
procedures and core organizational processes, including the White House and other international leaders. She also has highly sought-after expertise in operational risk management and
organizational change. Joan assists senior management groups
regularly on their strategic planning efforts, as well as on alliances, mergers and acquisitions.
Joan is the author of the new book: Conflict Management and Negotiation Skills for Internal Auditors
for the Institute for Internal Auditors ( go to bookstore on www.theiia.com ) as well as Women's Work. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including the designation of Certified
Speaking Professional from the National Speakers Association. She is a member of the IIA, the American Psychological Association and the Society for Industrial
and Organizational Psychology.
Joan was awarded her Ph.D. in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology
& Clinical Psychology in 2003. She is in the midst of a post-doctoral program as a registered psychological assistant
(#PSB-31785) under Dr. Jim Graves, a licensed psychologist, who is also the President of Performance Management Associates.
