Joan Pastor, Ph.D.,
CSP, is president of JPA International, Inc., a globally acclaimed organizational consulting company since 1979. She has taken a number of organizations through complete redesign and company-wide
changes to be more efficient, competitive and proactive.
As a presenter, she
is known for her upbeat, witty approach to complex behavioral challenges. In fact, the Institute of Internal Auditors has
invited her over 40 times!
Joan has over 23 years of experience facilitating groups improve their work processes, including conferences
involving the White House and very senior officials in overseas governments. She
has specific expertise in operational risk, organizational change and business process mapping. Joan assists senior management groups regularly on their strategic planning, as well as on alliances, mergers
and acquisitions. She also does a great deal of executive and leadership assessment,
development and coaching.
Joan is the
author of a new book titled Conflict Management and Negotiation Skills for Internal Auditors
as well as Women’s Work and the recipient of numerous awards, including Certified Speaking Professional. She is
a member of the Institute for Internal Auditors and the American Psychological Association. Joan was awarded her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology & Clinical Psychology in 2003. She is
in the midst of a post-doctoral program as a registered psychological assistant (#PSB-31785) under Dr. Jim Graves,
a licensed psychologist and President of Performance Management Associates.
