Money & Music by the Thredgolds
Money & Music by the Thredgolds

Money & Music is a little different.  And audiences love it!  It’s a program that combines the talents of Jeff and Lynnette Thredgold (yes, they’re married).

Economic futurist Jeff Thredgold has been helping people understand the tangled maze of the economy and financial markets for over three decades…complete with a slice of optimism and a touch of humor.

Violinist and recording artist Lynnette Thredgold is a masterful musician and entertainer who has performed professionally for over 25 years, bringing music to life for her audiences.

More about Jeff:

Jeff’s career includes 23 years with $100 billion KeyCorp, one of the nation’s largest financial services companies, where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Economist.  He is currently economic consultant to $55 billion Zions Bancorporation, which has banks in ten states.  Jeff is a former member of the Economic Advisory Committee of the American Bankers Association and the Economic Policy Committee of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Understanding today’s economic environment is more important than ever before.  With a humorous and slightly irreverent style, Jeff guides audiences through the complexities of the U.S. and global economies and financial markets—helping to make sense of it all.  As the only economist in the world to have ever earned the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation, Jeff makes a discussion about the economy approachable, interesting, and fun.

Jeff has appeared dozens of times on CNBC-TV, the nation’s business network, in addition to numerous appearances on CNN.  He is a member of three elite U.S. economic forecasting panels, which include serving as one of 48 national contributors to the monthly Blue Chip Financial Forecasts.  Jeff also serves as one of 50 seasoned economists in a quarterly survey by USA TODAY, as well as a quarterly survey of 30 national economists by the National Association for Business Economics.

More about Lynnette:

Lynnette’s professional music career, starting at the age of 15, has included memberships in professional orchestras in Colorado, Idaho, Texas, and Utah.  She holds a Master of Music degree in violin performance from the University of Utah.  She has performed with Mannheim Steamroller, Debbie Reynolds, Bill Cosby, the Moody Blues, Wayne Newton, Josh Groban, and Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant and Jimmy Page.

To create her unique style, Lynnette commissions composers to orchestrate, arrange, or write new compositions for her shows.  Chuck Penington of Mannheim Steamroller, John Bisharat (orchestrator for John Tesh), Jeffrey Price and Alden Terry are a few of the talented professionals she has collaborated with.  Her backup band (available both live and in recorded accompaniment) consists of piano, bass, drums, harp, reeds, and flute.

Lynnette has co-produced three CDs, along with Mannheim Steamroller’s Chuck Penington, including Amazing Grace and Cool Energy.  Her latest CD, Dancing with the Red Priest, features Air Supply’s Jed Moss performing Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue.”

Programming Ideas:

Lynnette plays a 15-minute set after dinner, followed by an upbeat and humorous 30-40 minute economic and financial update by Jeff.  Lynnette then returns with a 20-minute set, concluding a perfect evening of entertainment and valuable information for your attendees.

Some clients have Lynnette bring her full six-member backup band, providing an outstanding concert event

Various clients have Jeff provide a morning or afternoon keynote, followed by Money & Music after dinner

Lynnette and Jeff are, of course, also available separately for your event
