June Fabre - High Performing Nursing Teams & Leadership
June Fabre - High Performing Nursing Teams & Leadership

June Fabre started Smart Healthcare LLC in 1995 to address critical health care issues such as patient safety, nurse staffing, and healthcare value. June develops and presents education programs that improve communication, raise productivity without burnout, and promote team performance.

June knows about nursing challenges because she has experienced them. She has worked as a clinical nurse, educator, and manager in many specialties such as medical surgical, psychiatry, home care, long-term care, ambulatory care, and managed care. She decided to turn nursing challenges into an opportunity—to focus on creating positive healthcare change. June believes nurses can activate healthcare change by adding communication and leadership skills to their comprehensive medical knowledge.

Audiences remark that her message of substance, based on both research and clinical success stories, shows them how to improve patient care in their own facilities. Managers and clinical nurses alike say that they appreciate June’s positive, upbeat, and humorous presentation style that makes learning fun and easy.

June is an author, speaker, consultant, and coach on various topics such as critical thinking, high performance teams, and the art of creating a staff friendly culture. She has spoken to audiences, both large and small, all across the country. In addition, June is the author of over 50 healthcare articles as well as a new book, Smart Nursing—How to Create a Positive Work Environment that Empowers and Retains Nurses.

June Fabre received her RN and BS in Education from State University College, Plattsburgh, NY; a BSN from Excelsior College, Albany, NY; and her MBA from Plymouth State University, Plymouth, NH.

June is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, Massachusetts Organization of Nurse Executives, American Nurses Association, New Hampshire Nurses Association, National Speakers’ Association, Toastmasters International, and the Derry Writers Group. She was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Speakers Association-New England (2002-2004) and is past president of Manchester Toastmasters.
